Caliber Web Design was built on hard work, trust, and a shared passion for creating websites that actually perform. What started as a professional opportunity turned into a long-term business built by two lifelong friends.

Founders: Zach Presley & Blaine Wahlen

Caliber Web Design was founded by Zach Presley and Blaine Wahlen, two entrepreneurs who have known each other since high school. Growing up together, they developed a strong friendship that later evolved into a powerful professional partnership.

Zach earned his degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in Applied Economics with a minor in Business Management. Blaine received his degree in Business Management from Ripon College. Together, they combined analytical thinking, business strategy, and real-world experience.

Building Experience at Wisconsin River Meats

In 2021, Zach began working at Wisconsin River Meats, with Blaine joining the team shortly after in 2022. Working side by side, they quickly proved their teamwork, problem-solving skills, and strong work ethic.

Their dedication and reliability did not go unnoticed.

The Website Project That Changed Everything

In 2024, Zach and Blaine earned the trust of David Mauer, Vice President of Wisconsin River Meats, who tasked them with revamping the company’s outdated website.

Initially, the website was not performing as expected. Rather than accepting mediocre results, Zach and Blaine took a deep dive into the site’s SEO, structure, and performance.

Learning SEO the Right Way

During this process, they uncovered numerous technical and structural issues that were limiting the site’s visibility and effectiveness. This sparked an intensive learning phase—studying SEO best practices, website architecture, content strategy, and performance optimization.

What started as a single website project quickly became a full understanding of how proper SEO and web design can transform a business online.

Seeing the real impact of their work, Zach and Blaine decided to turn their skills into a business. Caliber Web Design was created to help other businesses avoid the same mistakes and build websites that are fast, visible, and built to convert.
